Dialectical Behaviour Therapy or DBT is a skills based approach that aims to help you to feel better equipped to manage intense and distressing emotions and to feel more confident in dealing with difficult emotions. 

It uses mindfulness as one of the core tools to assist you with learning to tolerate distress without reacting, in a counter-productive way, to unwanted or painful emotions.
